I’m very excited to be part of an amazing new “art travel” show called American Canvas. The show explores the art and culture of cities such as San Francisco, Austin and Miami and airs Wednesday evenings at 10pm EST.
As part of the Miami episode I teach the show’s host Dave Holmes how to use a camera to discover his creative vision while exploring the amazing street art and history of Miami’s Wynwood Art District.
From Ovation TV’s press release, “Premiering Wednesday, March 25 at 10 pm ET Dave’s cultural tour of the US continues with a stop in Miami to check out the biggest modern art show in the country: Art Basel. He also takes a food tour of Little Havana, learns how to dance the flamenco, wanders the expansive grounds and gardens of the Vizcaya Mansion, explores Miami’s stunning art deco architecture, checks out KRELwear’s famous knitwear at a custom fitting, and gets a street art photography lesson courtesy of Aric Attas at Wynwood Walls.”
Here’s the extended trailer for American Canvas

For those of you interested in discovering your own creativity in Wynwood I’ll be leading a photography excursion to explore Miami’s vibrant street art and culture on Saturday, April 11th. There will also be an Art Walk that night including a food truck circle with approximately 40 or so food trucks! It promises to be an inspiring adventure on many levels!
